Collage/mixed media....

I've been painting and drawing most of my life. I have no formal training outside of a few high school classes. Roughly eight years ago, I began working in collage. I Started mostly using black & white images, then about three years ago I switched to color, and have not stopped since. I will be posting six collages a month for the next five months.(Starting in Dec. 08.) These will be for sale. Cha-6 Perineum "the Nail and Key" cd-r Having talked for about a year about collaborating. Ben Wolaniuk(Horn of Dagoth) and Dereck Donohue(Horseflesh,Ozmadawn) decided to finally get down to it. With Ben on laptop and Dereck on effects,vocals, and tapes they have burned a path across the synapses,of those who have had the pleasure or displeasure of coming in contact with them. Heavy influenced by the occult and the physical power of volume and total immersion in the performance environment. Crank It!

HoraFlora/Ozmadawn split cassette.......

Cha-5 Hora Flora/Ozmadawn split c20...Hora Flora starts off side one with some pretty strange drum machine action which quickly gives away to indescribable loops and drones. Going into his mastery of clutter and junk sounds.-Side 2-Ozmadawn throws you right into where they are going. No subtle buildup here. A slight break comes in,but quickly gives way to wall of feedback and modular sounds, before breaking into a slowed tape manipulation.

Hors.....Synthenesia

Cha-4 Horseflesh "Synthenesia I" cd-r. Horseflesh abandons what he knows (guitar,tapes,voice,etc.) and decides to use only a Crumar Performer analog synth for the entire course of 59 minutes. What happens is a strange alchemy between the effects pedals and the synth. A blend of distortion, fuzz,delay, and octave that might have you question whether it's really a synthesizer.

Birth of OZMADAWN....

Cha-3 Ozmadawn "Rise of the Moth" cd-r... Distance.Noise.Drone. These all play important parts into the overall sound of Ozmadawn. Whether it be analog snyths,shortwave radio,guitars, pedal noise,contact mics, or just plain vocals. Everything gets treated with equal enthusiam. Alot of the time, restraint is used, but than that may be let go into their own void of sound.

Cha 2-Horseflesh "Journey to the East" cd-r Not really meant to be a follow up to "Insectual",but more of the urge to make a psychedelic release. Almost all the tracks on the cd link into one another to make it a seamless trip. This is the album where prepared guitar and tuning plays a
major role. Ranging from chime like notes to subtle burst of distortion, as well quite a few interesting rhythms thrown in there.

Cha-1-Horseflesh "Insectual"-- Of the eight tracks each one is a different experiment. From effected vocals,to detuned guitars,feedback manipulation,some tape action, and more guitar!
Sadly, I only made one hundred of these,and they have been gone for a long time now.
